Over a century ago, my great-grandfather, Ramdas Thackersey, along with his son Khimji Ramdas, came to the Sultanate of Oman from Mandvi, Kutch a coastal town in Gujarat, India and established their enterprise in 1870. Today, we embrace the same values, principles and strive for entrepreneurial excellence as instilled in us by our forefathers. Upon completing his education in Mumbai, he completed his BA in commerce at the prestigious Bombay University and joined the family business in 1973. Since then, he has established several new companies in various industries, which today comprise of the Ramesh Khimji Group of Companies. From retail outlets for luxury products, such as fine watches, to industrial factories manufacturing wire nail in East Coast of the United States, he is always ready and searching for new challenges.

Has completed a BSc from Babson College (Boston, USA) with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, and has been a Director with the Group since 2009.
